SUPPORT TO MURPH
Hello,
I think that everyone of us, who's making a website, in this peculiar case on Mr. Russell Crowe, knows that is making something unofficial and not officially sanctioned by him.
All these sites devoted to Mr. Crowe, which each of us devotes a lot of time and a certain amount of money to, are non profit ones and built to add our little contribute and celebrate a terrific artist and a most honourable man, that sometimes writes on Murph only.
We all know that everything used in our sites (photos, video, piece of videos etc.) doesn't belong to us at all, but it belongs to the respective copyrights holders.
But I think that a good fair play rule should be to, at least, always mention the source where we take our news from.
Me myself, when I find a news on a paper, I put the link to it, but if I find a news, that I think is good for this website, on MURPHSPLACE I always mention the source and I put the link to it, as if it's a paper.
I've never taken, nor I will putting on line a quote personally written by Mr. Crowe to Mrs. Murph.
I'm astonished and I completely disagree with contactmusic.com behaviour, for taking the quote Mr. Crowe personally wrote to Mrs. Murph and, without permission, putting it on line, taking it out of the contest it was written by Mr. Crowe and after published by Mrs. Murph.
My personal support and contribute to this "situation" will be:
I won't put on line news coming from contactmusic.com any longer.
I've already deleted on older news pages all the news coming from contactmusic.com.
I've already unsubscribe from contactmusic newsletter about Mr. Crowe.
I've already written a comment to the article we're talking about, but the mail to validate my account hasn't arrived yet.
Here's my comment:
Hello,
the quote by Mr. Crowe I'm adding a comment to has already been published by Mrs. Murph at http://www.murphsplace.com/crowe/news.html several days ago. This quote was personally written by Mr. Crowe, that sometimes is so nice to share his thoughts with all of us writing only to Mrs. Murph.
It was a funny quote just to have fun before XMAS and your site took it out of the contest it was written and published, distorting its purpose and meaning.
I also have a website devoted to Mr. Crowe and sometimes I link to the news on your site.
I won't putting on line any news on him by your site any longer.
I deleted on older news page all the links to news coming from your site.
I unsubscribed from the newsletter about Mr. Crowe coming from your site.
I'm not a professional journalist but I think that, even if pure objectivity doesn't exist, because everything is filtered by the eye whose looking at something, the duty of journalism is to be as more suitable to "reality as possible.
Internet news, papers and all media must owe honesty to the public. Best regards. Sabry

In my opinion I consider Mrs. Murph a terrific professional, devoted to her site with precision and love, but most of all, even if I haven't had the pleasure to meet her in person yet, I think she is a most honest and honourable lady.
Personally I can say that the idea to make this site has been in me for a long time, but the "courage" to begin it, has been "given" me a few days before Le Thor concert (Oct 15) by viewing the photo album Mrs. Murph put on line after her trip to France... and the first page of this site was born, THANKS MURPH is its title, indeed, HERE
Dear Mrs Murph,
you keep being the dearest, professional, most honourable lady we all know and trust and "the others" don't need comments at all.
As Virgilio told Dante when they pass by the indolents: " "Non ragionar di lor ma guarda e passa..." (don't pay attention to them but look at them and pass by)
